About Our Temple
A few Indian labourers who have been employed at the port in the Port Klang quarantine camp constructed their own homes in the vicinity of Port Klang. Within the residential sector of the quarantine camp, there is a Mariamman Temple constructed by the local population. The occupants were forced to relocate their homes after a few years. The Amman God statue was transported by the people and installed in their neighbourhood while they were relocating. The temple was founded by Mr. Yethuraju. The committee members then met Mr. Yethuraju to discuss clearing the space for the construction of a temple. Later with the help of Mr Yethuraju, the temple management and the devotees managed to build a small temple.
