About Our Temple
The Arulmigu Nagara Thandayuthapani Temple is located near the banks of the Klang River in the heart of the city. Although the exact founding details of this century-old temple are not well-documented, it has been under the care of Nattu Kottai Chettiar Klang since 1930 and is meticulously maintained. Initially, a modest structure housed the worshippers of the statues of Vinayagar, Dandayuthapani, and Mariamman. Following extensive renovations, the temple hosted its first Kumbabhishekam in 1976. In 2002, new Vimana Gopuram and Raja Gopuram were added, along with a dedicated place of worship (sannithi) for all the idols. The temple also features a dining hall and a wedding hall. Currently, the Committee of Trustees is effectively managing the temple.
