About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Muniswaar Temple is located in Mengelembu, Perak. It is thought to have been established by the farm laborers in that region during the 1950s. These workers held a belief that Lord Muniswarar was their guardian deity and, under a tree, they constructed a small hut using wooden planks and a zinc roof. Inside the hut, they placed a spear (soolam) and offered their worship, seeking the blessings of Lord Muniswarar. Special prayers and offerings are performed when their prayers are answered by Lord Muniswarar.
