About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Muthu Mariamman Temple is located in Batu Gajah, Perak. It was founded in 1916 by the residents of the Kinta Valley who were in need of a place for religious worship. In its early days, this temple served as the sole place of worship in the region since there were no other temples nearby. Over time, the temple has undergone careful maintenance and has been transformed into a sturdy stone structure, following the tenets of Hindu architectural design. Devotees hold unwavering faith in Amman's ability to grant their wishes. Local community members regularly visit the temple for prayers and participate in mutual aid activities. The annual celebration of Maasi Magam attracts a substantial gathering of dedicated worshippers.
