About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Sivasada Muniswaran Temple is located in Raub, Pahang, and is thought to have been established around 1940 by the Tamil community residing in the local area. During that period, the lack of road facilities posed challenges for residents traveling between Raub and Kuala Lumpur. To address this issue, the community decided to construct a road for easier mobility. As a symbol of protection, they erected a small hut at the road's beginning and placed a brick believed to embody the deity Muniswaran, who is thought to ensure the safety of individuals from harm and malevolent forces. Presently, this temple is officially registered under the Registrar of Societies (ROS). The annual Chitrai Thiruvilla festival is joyously celebrated at this temple.
