About Our Temple
The Sri Muthalamman Temple, located in the Teluk Intan area of Perak, was established in 1960 by the Tamil community living in the region. The temple was built with the intention of having a place of worship within their residential area. In its early days, the temple consisted of a simple hut housing the deity's statue and a trident, which was worshipped as a guardian deity. Later, the temple administration, with the support of devotees, undertook a complete renovation and modernization of the temple. Currently, the temple is formally registered, and all rituals and festivals are conducted with great devotion and grandeur. It has become a significant place of worship for the local community and also serves as a notable tourist attraction in the area.
