About Our Temple
Sri Ramabakthar Aanjeneyar Temple is situated in the heart of Ipoh, behind the iconic Ipoh Railway station. The temple was founded by Mr. Bala and his wife, Mrs. Mageswari. Its history dates back to 1983 when Mr. Bala felt a calling to dedicate an empty space near his home to a god or temple. He was later inspired to install a 1.5-foot Hanuman idol in 1984, even though he initially referred to Lord Hanuman as Lord Ramar. Sri Hanuman is placed in main moolastanam in year 1984 Miraculous events and visions in dreams led People to visit the temple. The temple has become a spiritual center, with devotees experiencing the wonders of Lord Hanuman as they come to visit.
