About Our Temple
In Ampang, this temple was founded in 1971. At first, the municipal council section kept anti-malaria supplies at this temple area. The majority of the Indian labourers who were form India, sprayed insect repellant in the ditches and drains surrounding Kuala Ampang, formerly known as Kg. Baru Ulu Klang. One of the workers dreamt and discovered a black stone concealed in the municipality area and informed the other workers about it. The black stone that resembled Lord Vinayagar's visage was located by them. According to a religious priest the presence of the black stone will benefit the community by bringing prosperity and goodness. To worship and pray for Vinayagar, particularly for the Indian community in, a hut has been constructed in Kg. New Ulu Klang. Today, this temple has been rebuilt and renovated by the present management
