About Our Temple
In 1935, the temple was established by the laborers of the Department of Public Works who resided in the Tepi Sungai, Klang area. Initially, a small shrine with a Vinayagar idol was installed, and later, in 1942, the laborers united and constructed a small temple. Over the following years, this area witnessed significant cultural activities of the residents. In 1950, a five-tonne Vinayagar idol was brought from Tamil Nadu. In 1980, the temple buildings faced deterioration due to decay, and consequently, the old temple was entirely reconstructed. In 1985, a new temple was constructed, and a grand Khumbabishegam ceremony took place. Subsequently, through the efforts of the temple administration, funds were raised with public contributions, and the Rajagopuram (main tower) was constructed in 2014. The land for the temple was officially granted by the government through a formal request. Presently, the temple is registered, and all rituals and ceremonies are conducted with great reverence and attention to detail.
