About Our Temple
In the 1980s, in Teluk Pulai , Klang area, Konthakaf Pardesi, a sadhu who lived in Mrs. Govindamma's house in Teluk Pulai area of Klang, used to perform puja and worship with a Vel. After her death, Mrs. Govindamma performed prayers in a small hut and lit a lamp. In 1914, the Ceylon Tamils who lived in the area donated money and built a small temple and performed puja according to the Saiva system. Later in 1924, the Ceylon Tamils and with the help of devotees built a Sri Subramaniyar temple with Muruga Valli Deivanai as the main idol and performed the first Kumbabhishekam. Then the temple gradually developed. In 1957, the Navalar Mandapam was built. In 1977, the temple was properly renovated and the first Kumbabhishekam was held successfully. The registration of the temple was canceled in 2011, after which it was re-registered under the name Klang Subramania Swamy Thirukoil. Now the temple is properly registered and all the pujas are being performed properly. The temple has been completely renovated and the final renovation work is underway.
