About Our Temple
The Vaal Sri Muniswarar Temple is situated in Kg, Jebong Lama, Simpang, Perak. It is believed that this temple was founded in the 1882s. During that period, laborers working on railway construction projects constructed this temple as a modest hut using wooden planks and a zinc roof. Inside the hut, they placed a spear (Soolam) and offered prayers to Muniswarar, who symbolizes the spear. Lord Muniswarar is revered as a protective deity, and the workers felt secure under his watchful care.In the early days, Muneeswaran was worshiped as a guardian deity by keeping a burning stick. The new temple was built with the help of the devotees and the donation of some good souls due to the efforts of the temple management who came later. Now the temple is duly registered and functioning well.
